This big guy is by far my favorite CRT display that I own! It's got a huge flat 27 inch display; on the front it has composite (Video 3) as well a few buttons to control the system, on the back we have composite with s-video (Video 1), composite (Video 2), and even has component (V2-Component)!! So the odd thing is that you can't have like five inputs, s-video and composite share the same audio and are both Video 1, and Video 2 is the same story but with component. So in reality there's just three inputs at a time and one of them is stuck on composite
I currently have an Xbox 360 plugged into s-video and it's what I mostly play on the CRT, I would have it on component but the cables I got for them don't have a switch to run interlaced signals but to my eyes the two signals look pretty much identical. I have my Wii connected to component and I use it for running fun homebrew, emulating SNES and NES mostly, and Wii games of course. I actually got these fancier video cables recently and I even went as far as sniping a bid on a Xbox 360 S over the Xbox 360 E that I have so I could do more than composite out, and oh my gosh these video signals are BEAUTIFUL I can never go back to composite ever again holy
My mom actually found this along with two other CRT TVs!! She was looking at those stories on whatsapp and a family member works or runs a remodeling company something like that and there were those displays on the story, and so she asked about it, and boom now they're in my possession isn't that the coolest thing ever?!?!?! I WAS SO HAPPY YAYYY this thing is heavy AF lol, it weighs more than me like it's that heavy, apparently flat panel CRTs are like significantly heavier than a bulb shaped screen CRT I genuinely can only shuffle it on the ground by myself and that's IT
I have not done a lot to this CRT, only some external cleaning and some service menu geometry adjustment. I can't quite get the geometry quite right, I really don't want to open it up not because I don't wanna get shocked, but because I don't wanna see how dirty it is and then be obligated to clean it..... I will do it though, because I want to adjust the smooshed-ness on the right side of the screen, and I need to fix up the focus and convergence on the corners
I actually really like this little tv, it was actually my first ever CRT display and holy moly it's in such good condition, no scratches on the screen nor is the shell beat up whatsoever!! The
